RMHS Mission
Rocky Mountain Hockey Schools provides the finest player development, training, and exposure opportunities for students of all ages and skill levels.
We provide the finest hockey instruction in an exciting, positive learning environment for players of all ages. We believe that a player's development is determined by his/her dedication and effort, in conjunction with the teaching of highly trained and motivated staff. All activities and drills are designed to break down and develop each player's critical skills through intensive technique training.
Side by side with this intensive training & development atmosphere, RMHS strives to create a positive, 'no-fear' environment at each camp, where it is OK to fall, it is OK to fail, and it is OK to struggle with an activity. If the athletes feel safe and secure in their environs, they will feel comfortable pushing the envelope. We make everything fun and safe, where children push themselves and aren't afraid to fail. As we say at RMHS, "If you don't fall, you ain't trying!".
We genuinely believe this is one of the most vital attributes of any RMHS camp. Due to the tireless efforts made by our staff, each player is comfortable with what they are doing, learning what is being taught, and most importantly, improving. RMHS prides itself on its teaching skills, ability to develop athletes, and, most importantly, our instructors. Our instructors are teachers and educators first and passionate hockey players second.

RMHS Guarantee
FUN, FUN, FUN!!
As we all know, the game is about making friends, healthy, safe competition, learning invaluable work habits and life lessons, understanding teamwork, and having FUN! Regardless of how much a player improves, how hard they work, and how tired they are, at the end of the day if that player does not have fun, the camp is no good. All RMHS staff members are lifelong hockey players who eat, sleep, breathe, live, and die hockey. It shows in our attitudes, approach to the game, and abilities to enthusiastically share this great game with others. The two most important things at any camp are fun and learning. You will do both at any RMHS Summer Skill Development Camp. We guarantee it!

Movement Analysis
Pure Skill Development is founded on a coach's ability to analyze players' skill sets, identify their weaknesses, and design the appropriate drills and exercises needed to improve them. The success of our camps is based on our abilities as teachers to correctly identify each player's weakness and then create practice plans and drill sets that enable us to develop that child to the fullest.
Individual Instruction
RMHS understands that each child is different and learns and improves differently. We know how important good communication through individualized one-on-one attention with an instructor is to a young person's interpersonal and athletic development. Once our instructors 'reach' a student, a professional rapport is developed, and unheralded skill development advancements are made.
International Instructor/Syllabus
RMHS utilizes cutting-edge drills, exercises, and teaching progressions designed to enhance each player's improvement and enjoyment of the game of hockey at all our camps. Our staff utilizes their backgrounds as European Sports Directors, European coaches, professional coaches, college coaches, Jr. A coaches, skill development specialists, powerskating experts, and hockey directors to develop the most cutting-edge, creative, and innovative teaching progressions available. These teaching progressions are the key to our success as educators and teachers and a strong indicator of the skill development advancements seen in our students.

As a hockey dad and coach, RMHS provides me, my family, and all our association's skaters an extraordinary opportunity. Year after year RMHS not only provides significant development and growth for the player but RMHS itself just keeps getting better. Wehn program models for others by expanding its own developmental capability you at some point must realize that this is were a player needs to be! We could do it with out RMHS!!!

I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for a great week of 8U hockey. JP had a blast and said, "This was the best week ever". He learned so much from his skill development and creating leadership attributes that will be sure to serve him well in all of his future endeavors. We have never seen him so motivated to continue playing hockey. After two days of 6 hours of on and off-ice hockey lessons, he came home and created his obstacle course to stick handle through. We don't push it and let him lead his way, but he was inspired after this week. He even made all of the neighborhood children play a game of Army/Navy (imagine children running from fence to fence as he yells, "Army, Navy, and Hit the Deck"). So again, thank you for a great week of hockey and for developing our players on and off the ice! Megan Megan Cartwright MA-ECSE The Rise School of Denver Director of Education and Inclusion

I found that each camp was helpful based on camp focus because of the variety of things each camp has to offer. It is a lot of fun attending new camps because I always know that I will leave the camp with more knowledge and skill than when I showed up.

RMHS was a camp I always looked forward to in the summer. RMHS taught me a lot about the fundamentals of hockey that I still use in my game today. I would not be the player I am today without the help from the RMHS staff from back when I was young. They emphasize a learning environment that is conducive to both getting better and having fun.

" Bryan, I wanted to reach out to thank you for the program you put together. Bradley and I recently returned from Breckenridge and cannot say enough good things about the program. From the attention to detail by the coaches to the experience with the other children, the facility, and the overall program you guys assembled. Bradley had his first game upon returning and its clear his confidence on the ice, and in the game improved measurably. Not only is Bradley faster, more agile on the ice, his perspective of the game and play improved. I notice it and he notices it. While Florida to Breckenridge is a hike uphill, I can’t imagine we won’t be making the trip again next summer." Thanks to you and your crew for the work put into making it a success. Bryan, You've personally coached Blake. I have to say I've never disagreed with any evaluation from RMHS. We come from a Small market. There have been times through Blakes's playing career that he's had more knowledge than his coach about proper technique and the game itself. He's 13. That's unfortunate. I never played Hockey. I don't pretend to, either. I've never tried to coach my boy in the sport. I learned the sport by watching 5-year-olds play. I see my boy's passion for the sport, so I try to provide the best for him. Hockey is my favorite sport now. Blake has come a long way. Being from a small market, he definitely has bad habits. Some he's developed, and some he was taught. What he does have, however, is what can't be taught. He has the will. He has the desire. He spends more time at the rink in the offseason than any kid in town. He's hungry. He works. After your BLBS camp, we came home for Team Wyoming tryouts the following weekend. Blake made Team Wyoming and received an

The Rocky Mountain Hockey Schools coaches really connect with the kids. They pay attention to details, correct mechanics, and don’t just run the kids through drills to get them tired. They actually pay attention to every skater during every drill to ensure they are mechanically sound and get the kids to rise to their potential. I think the reason why the quality and attention to detail are so awesome is, actual RMHS staff run the camps themselves, they don’t fleece it out and hire local D2 and D3 players to run the camps for them, so they can run fifty camps a summer to turn a massive profit.
