Coach Nick grew up in Rossland, British Columbia. Coach Nick fell in love with skating at a young age and hockey became my passion as he grew older. Coach Nick played four years of Junior B hockey in BC for the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. Coach Nick pursued his playing career in upstate NY where he played two years at Morrisville State College followed by two years at SUNY Potsdam. After graduating from Potsdam with an B.A. in Communications & an M.A. in Elementary Education, Coach Nick moved to Denver to become a teacher. His coaching career began with the DU Jr. Pioneers Bantam program in 2014. In 2015, Coach Nick moved to Steamboat Springs, CO. Nick continued to pursue his passion for hockey and worked with youth coaching in the youth association for two years, the Steamboat Wranglers for one year, and the HS team for one year.
