2020 Steamboat Springs Fall Clinic

 

2020 RMHS Fall Skills Clinic - Steamboat Springs, Colorado - September 11-13, 2020 
RMHS in partnership with the Steamboat Youth Hockey Association will be hosting a fall skills clinic September 11-13, 2020 at the Howelsen Ice Arena. 

Group # 1 - Powerskating & Stickhandling - Ages 8-12 - 2008-2012 Birth Years
September 11-13, 2020 - 

RMHS is coming to Steamboat for a Coed Powerskating & Stickhandling clinic for players that are in the 2008-2012 birth year ranges. The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic we will focus on edge control, forward and backward stride, all forms of changing direction, agility, and of course having some fun in between training!
Remember players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment.

Group #1 Daily Schedule - 

Friday September 11
Check-In - 5:40pm
On-Ice - 6:40-7:40pm 

Saturday September 12 & Sunday September 13
On-Ice - 8:40-9:40pm
Off-Ice - 10:00-11:00am 
Lunch Break - 11:00am-12:00pm
3v3 Street Hockey - 12-1:15pm
On-Ice - 1:40-2:40pm

****RMHS Staff will have a goaltending coach at this camp, please register to save your spot as they are limited to 4 per group

  • 8-12 year old players - All players must have 1 year playing experience (Players at the 2007 & 2008 Birth Year can choose either camp focus at this location)
  • $225
  • 5 hours on-ice professional instruction
  • 2 hours hockey specific off-ice training
  • 3 hours of street hockey
  • RMHS 25th Anniversary Jersey
  • Schedules subject to change due to registration levels up to one week before the first day of camp

 

Group #2 - Defensive & Offensive Skills & Positioning - Ages 13-17 - 2003-2007 Birth Years
September 11-13, 2020 - 

The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic the Defensive segment will cover defensive tactics, coverages, checking, body play, gap control, positioning, defensive theory, transitions, jumping into the play, and defending odd-man rushes. The Offensive segment will focus on offensive theory, face-offs, sustaining an attack, cycling, attacking with speed, odd-man rushes for, offense at the puck, offense away from the puck, and support.

Friday September 11
Check-In - 7:00pm
On-Ice - 8:00-9:00pm 

Saturday September 12 & Sunday September 13
On-Ice - 10:00-11:00am
Off-Ice - 11:15am-12:15pm 
Lunch Break - 12:15-1:15pm
3v3 Street Hockey - 1:15-2:30pm
On-Ice - 3:00-4:00pm
