2013 RMHS Adult Hockey Camp

This year the RMHS staff will be running our second annual Adult camp in Park City, Utah. This camp will focus on two skill levels, begginer and intermediate. The camp will have 4 on-ice skill and concept sessions, off-ice hockey chalk talk, and we will finish the weekend off with three 20 minute pierods, referees, and score board. During the game we will have our RMHS staff on the benches teaching game managment and postional play.

During the week we will be sure to give you the days off to play in beautiful Park City, Utah. You can enjoy the weekend with activities like Hot Air Ballon, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, golf, mountain biking, camping, & much more. Park City has a great downtown with an always entertaining night life. The weekend will be a bit more training so be prepared.

Camp Format
Beginner Camp - We will split the group up into two even teams on day one. The camp will be for the players who has recently started playing the game and need to focus on skill development such as skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing, and basic game concepts. All of this will be taught to each players level in station training within each team.

Intermediate Camp - We will split the group up into two even teams on day one. This group will be designed for the players that have been playing for over 5 years. You must have good skating and puck skills. We will work on game tatics, advanced skill development, and basic hockey systems.

What is included?
Each camper will get a custom RMHS Adult Hockey Jersey, 4.5 hours of on-ice training, 2 hour hockey specific classroom, full length coached scrimmage, and a post camp BBQ at the Park City Ice Arena after the camp is over on Sunday.

Staff Members
This year we will have the following staff members running the adult camp in Park City. John Paris Jr will be back by popular demand. Coach Paris is a 40+ year professional development coach sports psychologist and always offers a wealth of knowledge on and off-ice. Bryan Smith, the director of hockey operations for RMHS. Coach Smith started his coaching career working with adults over 12 years ago in Breckenridge. He now helps develop the game at all ages and levels across the world and specializes in power skating and skill development. Tony Swedburg will be at the camp this yearr. Tony is now a Park City local. He has been working for RMHS for 3 summers full time. Coach Tony has a strong voice and is a very sharp hockey mind. Peter Gavinski will be our goaltending coach this year. Coach Peter is the head goaltending coach for Durango Youth Hockey. He has been working with RMHS for the past 3 summers. He works on the side as a ski instructor and a private goaltending instructor.
